FIRST NIGHT
I had the best time working with the Lake George Dinner Theatre on their production of First Night by Jack Neary. The play is a romantic comedy two-hander set on New Year’s Eve in 1985 and I had a blast exploring every funny, awkward, and tender moment.
This production was directed by Jarel Davidow.
akeldama
I was a part of a reading of Akeldama by Chandler Hubbard on June 10th. This reading took place at IATI Theatre as a part of their Cimientos Play Development Program. I greatly enjoyed exploring this exciting and genre-bending script with the whole team.
This reading was directed by Eric Parness.
Hex in the city
I was delighted to work with my friend Katherine Guanche on a developmental reading of her play Hex in the City, which spins narratives about Disney princesses in a modern New York City setting, a la Sex and the City. It was wonderful to work with an all-female cast, including my 39 Steps castmate Lauren Dietzel!
This production was directed by Bailey Nasseta.
Secret pond
I was thrilled to work with the folks at Fresh Show Films once again, this time in an ambitious comedy short film called Secret Pond filmed almost entirely in kayaks on a pond in Southern Vermont. It was chilly and damp but delightful working with the team on such a fun script.
This project was written and directed by Wyndham Maxwell and Roland Boyden.
PUKA WHO?
I was grateful to be a part of Rising Sun Theatre Company’s annual play festival on Governor’s Island. I played the role of Charlie, the ghost of an Irish soldier boy, in Puka Who? by E. Merwin. It was a sweet and funny story bringing Irish mythology to present-day Governor’s Island. It was such a delight to perform on the island for children and families.
This production was directed by Eric Parness.
The 39 steps
I had the absolute pleasure of returning to live theatre in summer 2021 with The 39 Steps presented by Strongbox Theatre in East Rockaway, Long Island. This hilarious show is an adaptation of the Hitchcock film of the same name in which all the characters are played by four actors. I played three of them- Anabella, Margaret, and Pamela, the women with whom the leading man has various entanglements on his journey. The work was challenging but so fulfilling and the entire team was a delight to work with.
This production was directed by Sam Hood Adrian and produced by Tony Leone.
the other side of clean
I was thrilled to be a part of an upcoming short film by Chris Guzzo and Jonathan Tierney, The Other Side of Clean. This project is an intimate relationship drama in which my character, Kelly, is stuck in a very complicated web. It was a joy to work on this project and I look forward to sharing it with everyone.
Revolución music video
I had an absolute blast being a part of Pali Gordo’s music video for her song Revolución. This was my first music video and the end product reflects the joyful experience we had making it! Always a delight to work with past collaborators such as fellow Purdue alumni (Malena Gordo, Katrina Guzman, Wyndham Maxwell) and Roland Boyden of Fresh Show Films. Check out the video on my Film page!
Revolución was written by Pali and Malena Gordo and directed by Roland Boyden.
